I have been designing jewelry for as long as I can remember, though I have no formal training as a jewelry designer. As a teenager I used to make necklaces out of anything I could find that could remotely pass for a bead. (Which was not nearly as silly looking as some of the other looks I pulled together at the time: decorating my shoes, jeans, and coats with puffy paint, streaking my hair with permanent markers, creating shirts by knotting and wrapping scarves, and crocheting tub tops and skirts—I only knew how to crochet straight lines).

Since then my tastes have matured, my interest has narrowed to jewelry, and my skill has been refined. I absolutely love to design jewelry, and the fact that I can make a business out of it seems almost too good to be true.

My background is quite diverse, both culturally and professionally. I grew up in New York City, Paris, London, Moscow, and Mexico City, and my family is still spread out all over the world. I have worked in computer programming, fundraising for nonprofits, graphic design, and am a classically trained singer. Though not directly related to jewelry making, I like to think that this variety of experience brings flavor to my designs. It certainly has been the source of openness and creativity in my ideas and no doubt accounts for the eclectic nature of my collection.

When I'm not designing jewelry, I am busy being a co-founder and COO of Blue Sky Collaborative, where we create software that helps raise lots of money for nonprofits.
